Ok. I watched Hack this evening; the debate of the Rudd Govt., and there is some very interesting opinions that Australians have about the current political and worldly environment. Some young Australians don't really appreciate what they've got. Yes, there is a stress at the moment for the push out of debt. But which country isn't in debt? The Commonwealth of Australia is doing a really top job, from what i've read in papers, articles, news websites, blogs and also from the JJJ website, where i formulate some of my argument.
Hot Topics: Climate Change!
Climate change is indeed a very touchy subject! I cannot fathom even talking about this one! There is a multitude of arguments and possible solutions about this 'crisis'.
Although i'd like to add: Cutting down of petrol and oil consumption is a great move; car companies such as Toyota, Chrysler and Honda are producing Electric cars. This is good for emission cut-backs, but not for waste management of the batteries when they become depleted and unusable - they become waste.
Why not get the oil companies to stop evading the word of the people and understand that these super-powers should help the planet, people, whatever, in evolving and doing what they promise in their adverts, like Chevron, and consider that their pockets are already full.
What about cars that run off oxygen? Bring back the Steam trains!
Whatever!
Anyway, some Australians should consider that their standard of living is very, very good! This is indeed an open rant that i would like to be criticised on. Because i think there are a million topics and views that can be formulated from my chat. However, i would like to finish off with a comparison to two Commonwealth countries which are completely different:
You think that Young Australia is bad? K-Rudd, I think you're doing a good job! Well, in comparison to the Canadian Government, Australia is Platinum Class. Canadian citizens are in an appalling state of financial stress and horrible living standards. Canada, you can do better for yourselves! Ask for that rise on living and get your local Government to give you a fair go. You deserve more than $8 an hour!
Canadian Minimum Wage = Canadian Slave Labour
How do you do it, Canada?
